Ingredients

Scale
- 2 pounds blood oranges, also known as raspberry oranges
- 2 lemons
- 1/4 cup raw, unfiltered honey
- 16 ounces still water
- 48 ounces plain sparkling water
- Fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by juicing the blood oranges and lemons. You can do this one of several ways: citrus juicer, hand juicer, blender or slow juicer. If you use a blender, peel the blood oranges and lemons first. It’s not necessary to peel the blood oranges if you’re using a slow or cold-press juicer.
- Pour the juice through a fine mesh strainer and into a large pitcher. You can skip this step if you used a juicer.
- Add the honey and stir until it is fully dissolved in the blood orange and lemon juice. Mix in the still water and sparkling water. This is not an overly sweet lemonade recipe, so taste and adjust according to your preferences.
- Serve chilled over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
Notes
You can expect to extract about 8 ounces of juice from the 2 pounds of blood oranges called for in this recipe. However, the exact amount can vary depending on such factors as the size and juiciness of the oranges, as well as the efficiency of your juicing method.
